Additional Property Attributes

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) conducted a Phase I Brownfields Targeted Assessment (BTA) at the Quivira Heights housing development site located in Lyons, Kansas. The BTA was conducted on a 5.3 acre property for the City of Lyons, who plans to assist with redevelopment of the property into a housing development with twelve lots. Based on the Phase I report, no �Recognized Environmental Conditions� (RECs) were identified in connection with the property, and the property is cleared for redevelopment

Former Use: Property is undeveloped land with one well house in the northwest corner that was installed in 2005. The well house is owned and operated by North American Salt Co. and is a chloride recovery well. Current owner is City of Lyons Land Bank who obtained the property in 2013. From 2006-2013 the property was owned by the Mill Creek Development.
