Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The site is a vacant parcel owned by John Velasquez a local resident. This site is in a residential area bordered by a large 30 acre housing project on one side, single family homes on another, and a small general aviation airport. The planes from the airport fly over this vacant parcel and surrounding residential homes. The fuel used by most of the planes at this airport is "low lead" Avgas 100LL, but even "low" amounts of lead have demonstrated negative affects of development and IQ. Recent studies by South Coast AQMD found that areas near runways had elevated lead levels, and that ultrafine particles were significantly elevated near runways when planes were flying. For this reason we think the site is contaminated.
