Former Use: Standard and other historical sources were able to document that property was initially developed when the railroad tracks were laid during the 1870s located in the northern portion of the subject property. A railroad spur was constructed in the central portion of the subject property during the 1880s. The railroad tracks were abandoned during the 1970s and were removed between the 1980s and 1990s. Building 1 was constructed in the northern portion of the subject property in 1880 with additions constructed at various times between 1908 and 1980. The building was used as a grain elevator from initial construction until it was converted into a general feed and lawn store during the late 1970s. A Mill pond was located in the northeastern portion of the subject property from the late 1800s until the dam broke during the 1940s which released the water and converted the pond back into a river. The river was filled in during the 1960s. The source of the fill material is unknown. The central portion of the subject property was developed with a lumber and coal yard from at least 1900 until at least 1967. These buildings were demolished at various times between the 1940s and the 1970s. Building 2 was constructed in 1976. Building 2 was used for limited service of equipment and machinery since initial construction. Building 3 was constructed in the southwestern portion of the subject property in 1895 with additions constructed at various times between 1908 and 1980.
