Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The State of Ohio operates a twenty-two story office building and parking garage at the Site. Approximately 80 percent of the building is used for office space, with the remainder used for restrooms, maintenance rooms, and a lobby. One 20,000 gallon UST is present in the northwest corner of the building, near Erie St. The tank stores #2 oil for the on-site emergency generator. REC #1 Former Gas Station underground tanks: According to the 1936 and 1951 Sanborn Fire maps, three gas tanks were located in the southwest corner of the Site when a gas station operated on the Site. Additionally, 1940-1974 city directories indicate the presence of a gas station at the Site. Documentation confirming the removal of these tanks could not be located and therefore, the presence of the tanks is considered a REC, with potential impacts to soil from the petroleum products. 2. REC #2 Former Auto Service An auto service business was located in the northeast corner of the Site according to the 1936 and 1951 Sanborn maps. Due to the nature of the business, this area is considered a REC, with potential impacts to soil from the petroleum products. 3. REC #3 Former Parking Garage underground tanks: According to the 1936 and 1951 Sanborn maps, two gas tanks were located in the right-of-way on the east side of the Site when the Civic Center Garage operated on the Site. Documentation confirming the removal of these tanks could not be located and therefore, the presence of the tanks is considered a REC, with potential impacts to soil from the petroleum products.
