Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The Property is comprised of nine parcels. The Property was undeveloped until the early 1910s when the western portion was developed as the Wildwood Park which included a dance pavilion, bath houses, refreshment stands, an elevated water tank and two cottages. The improvements to the park were removed in the mid-1950s. The Property was redeveloped for commercial use (shopping center) starting in the early 1960s and continuing until the early 1970s. Development included the Oak Park Center, Oak Park Theater and Riviera Bar. The Site has been vacant since 2011. Based on historical records, laundry/dry cleaners have operated in four different locations in the Oak Park Center buildings from the early 1960s to late 1990s. An automotive repair business operated in the Oak Park Theatre addition building from the late 1990s to late 2000s. The Property was severely impacted by the 2011 Souris River (aka Mouse River) flooding and all of the buildings have been unoccupied since that time. Surrounding land use is a mix of green space, commercial and residential properties.
