Additional Property Attributes

Historic Atlantic City Convention Hall (also known as Boardwalk Hall) is comprised of the West Hall and the East Hall and currently serves as an entertainment venue hosting various types of performing acts and events.CRDA plans to continue using the property for hosting performing events and conventions. The approximately 5.35-acre Boardwalk Hall East property is currently being used as an event hall, housing the Arena and Ballroom. The Site is active and secure. An asbestos survey and UST remedial activities have been conducted at the subject property. Marathon Engineering is currently conducting investigation activities to close out the former UST areas. CDM Smith facilitated an asbestos/mold/PCB survey during the Phase II ESA. Lead-based paint is likely present in non-renovated areas throughout the building. The main section which likely contains lead-based paint is the Ballroom Area.

Former Use: Historic Use: hotels, bath houses, restaurants, amusement park. East Hall currently owned by the Atlantic County Improvement Authority (ACIA)
