Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The property is generally rectangular in shape and approximately 12 acres in size. Improvements to the property include a gymnasium, Hammond Hall, the Carnegie Hall auditorium, GED building, Washington Hall, and the President�s House. The gymnasium is a partially completed concrete and brick structure with steel support and a large open floor in the main area. the property was originally developed as Mississippi Industrial College in 1905, operating until the college�s closure in 1982. Hammond Hall served as a police station for four years, before the site was vacated completely. The property is currently owned by Rust College.
