Additional Property Attributes

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) completed a Phase I Brownfields Targeted Assessment (BTA) at the above referenced property in Fort Scott, Kansas. Based on the Phase I report an �Recognized Environmental Conditions� (RECs) was identified at the property as a former drycleaning facility adjoining the property. Further investigation is not needed for continued commercial use. The property is cleared for redevelopment. A Limited Asbestos Inspection and Survey was also conducted on the site, and a hard copy has been enclosed for your records. Asbestos-containing material (ACM) was identified in materials in the kitchen and east rooms of north addition and room off original chapel as 680 square feet (SF) (25% chrysotile), in the basement as 15 SF (15% chrysotile), exterior windows Building #1 as 700 square feet (sf) of floor tile and associated mastic, Building #2 as 650 sf of roofing material, Building #5 as 4,000 sf of roofing material, and Building #7 as 1,200 sf of roofing material. Roofing material from the rubble pile of Building #4 was samples and was also positive for asbestos.
