Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: the property has historically been used as a dry cleaners since at least 1949. The past owner, Dr. Robert Childers, confirmed the historical use of the site as a dry cleaners facility back to at least 1955. From at least 1955 to 2011, the year BJ Thomas purchased the property, the cleaning and pressing of clothes were conducted on site. Since 2011, the target property has only been used as a pick-up and drop-off location for dry cleaning and the clothes are currently cleaned and pressed in New Albany, Mississippi. Mr. BJ Thomas indicated that to the best of his knowledge the solvent perchloroethylene (PERC) or has not been used on the target property for at least 30 years. The solvent that Mr. Thomas is aware of being used on the target property is Kwik Dri, which is a brand name of a hydrocarbon solvent.
