Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The oldest available historical record was a 1953 USGS topographic map that appeared to depict a small structure, possibly residential, on the southwest portion of the property. In 1963 aerial photograph shows the Colonial building on the property; however, the southeastern-most suites do not appear to be present. The building does clearly appear to be in its current configuration by 1985. The oldest city directories available were from 1999. According to city directories, from 1999 to 2013, the building was occupied by various governmental offices including the Mississippi Forestry Commission and Northeast Mississippi Community Service. It is unclear which of these agencies officed at the subject property or the county building adjoining to the north at 600 Highway 178 East, which has been present since at least 1985. The subject property was used as an office building and is currently unoccupied.
