Additional Property Attributes

The City of Brandon is currently negotiating with the property owner to purchase this site. The redevelopment plan for this site is to expand Aspen Park and possibly construct an ice rink and softball fields.

Former Use: The past and current owner of this property is James Peterson. The property is currently used for agriculture and grasslands. In the 1970s the property was mined for sand/gravel resources. It was also used for disposal for municipal and household waste. With the exception of the north quarry all mined areas have been filled with inert materials and covered with soil.
