Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The 13.98-acre Site consists of two (2) parcels; lot 1 (northwest portion, 2.62 acres, Lawrence Map 33, Lot 17), which consists of five (5) buildings associated with former junkyard operations, which are in various states of disrepair; and lot 2 (larger portion; 11.36 acres, Lawrence Map 33, Lot 17-2), which consists of two buildings associated with former junkyard operations and are also in various states of disrepair. The Site is currently vacant and fenced off. Historical uses of the Site resulted in the onsite storage and release to Site soils of petroleum products and materials containing polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) and heavy metals. Oils were likely released to Site soils from equipment in historical storage and process areas. Shallow impacted soils appear to have been pushed to the southern and eastern Site boundaries to tto form a 10 to 20 foot tall berm.
