A Phase I was completed on the subject property and a vacant lot own by TOMY International indicating no further investigation was warranted at this time on the subject property. However, ACM/LBP testing should be conducted if the building is to be renovated or demolished. The vacant lot is reported as sold, subdivided and redeveloped. It is reported separately in ACRES under ACRES ID #s: 242170 & 242220

Former Use: From its original construction in 1959 until the mid-1990's this site was used to manufacture toy tractors under the Ertl brand name. Specifically, metal die casting and painting were common operations at the building. Since the mid-1990's when production of these toy tractors was moved overseas, this facility has been significantly under-utilized. While the company has been publicly owned by several entities, the operations in this building has not changed. The company, TOMY International, had plan to relocate its operations and the property was sold to Dyersville Industries. TOMY International now rents back the building from Dyersville Industries.
