Additional Property Attributes

A Phase I ESA was completed in July 2017. A REC was identified due to the history of the site as a hurricane debris landfill. EPA issued a hazardous eligibility determination on July 19, 2017. A Site Specific QAPP was approved by MDEQ and EPA in August 2017. In August 2017, a Phase II ESA was conducted and soil and groundwater samples were collected and analyzed for petroleum hydrocarbons, volatile organic compounds, herbicides, pesticides, metals, and polychlorinated biphenyls. Based on the analytical results, another groundwater sample was collected from well TMW-4 and was analyzed for petroleum compounds. MDEQ GARD issued a NFA letter for the site on October 4, 2017. This site is located near the Back Bay of Biloxi, with water access to the Back Bay, and is adjacent to Biloxi�s Hiller Park and residential neighborhoods. It has a high potential for residential redevelopment.
