A commercial building was constructed in the eastern-central portion of the property in 1958. The United States Postal Office occupied this building from at least 1962 until 2000, when the building was demolished. The majority of the current strip mall building (identified as 29101-29475 John R Road) was constructed in 1962. Several additions to the southern portion of the strip mall building were constructed in the 1980s, 1990s, and early 2000s and several additions to the central portion were constructed in the late 1990s. In 1970 a car wash building with gasoline dispensing operations (formerly 29501 John R Road) was constructed. A canopy with vacuums and mat washers was constructed west of the car wash building in 1974. Gasoline dispensing operations ceased in 1989, and the car wash was demolished in 2000. The former gasoline dispensing operation underground storage tank (UST) system consisted of two 12,000-gallon gasoline USTs and one 8,000-gallon gasoline UST. A release (Leak ID: C-0668-85) associated with the former gasoline dispensing UST system was discovered in May 1989 during UST removal activities and was subsequently granted Type B regulatory closure in September 1992 with no land use restrictions.
