The Kansas Department of Health and Environment received a Brownfields application from the City of Dodge City on May 1, 2017 for their property located at 2301 N. 14th Ave in Dodge City, KS. They requested a Phase I BTA for N. 14th Ave. BTA #2 project. The application was approved on May 16, 2017. The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) completed a Phase I Brownfields Targeted Assessment (BTA) at the above referenced property in Dodge City, Kansas. Based on the Phase I report, no �Recognized Environmental Conditions� (RECs) were identified at the property. No further investigation is needed through the Brownfields Program and the property is cleared for redevelopment. Business Environmental Risks (BERs) were found during a NESHAP Limited Asbestos, Lead-Based Paint (LBP), and Mold Survey. Based on the information collected during the survey, asbestos containing materials (ACMs) were identified as 125 square feet of orange sheet vinyl with black mastic (3% chrysotile). Lead-Based Paint was identified as white ceramic wall tile (5.00 mg/cm2).
