Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The property was previously privately owned commercial site consisting of an approximate 3,600 square foot, commercial building/warehouse situated on approximately 0.54 acres of land. The original structure located on the property was constructed circa 1900. An environmental site assessment revealed possible contaminants in the soil and asbestos in the building structure. However based on the proposed site reuse the detected contaminant levels were low and not deemed a concern. Dyersville Industries acquired the site, abated and demolished the building. The property was replatted and became part of the Twin Steeples Landing Plat. Site preparation for the area included bringing in 13,000 cu yards of fill to raise Twin Steeples Landing above flood level along North Fork Maquoketa River bank. Development of site began in 2019 and was completed in 2021. The original parcel was combined with portions of two other parcels and replatted into two new separate parcels: One parcel which is located along North Fork Maquoketa River includes a kayak launch area, riverwalk, retaining wall and greenspace. The second parcel was developed with a mixed-use multi-story building containing over 63,000 sf. First level underground offers over 35 parking spaces and main level is commercial use. The upper three floors contain 33 luxury apartment and condo units. Construction on building was completed in 2021.
