Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The property was privately owned but was sold on land contract in 2018 to Dyersville Industries. The property was previously primarily commercial area consisting of an approximate 3,404 square foot, commercial building/warehouse situation on approximately 0.11 acres of land. The original structure located on the property was constructed circa 1950. Back in 1994, two petroleum underground storage tanks were removed and a NFA was received at that time. Dyersville Industries had an environmental assessment of the property completed prior to purchasing on land contract. The Environmental site assessment revealed possible contaminants in the soil and asbestos in the building structure. Based on the site reuse the other contaminants were low and not deemed to be a concern. Dyersville Industries acquired the site, abated and demolished the building. The property was replatted and became part of the Twin Steeples Landing Plat. Site preparation for the area includes bringing in 13,000 cu yards of fill to raise Twin Steeples Landing above flood level. The subject property was combined with ACRES #236652 and developed with a public parking lot concrete cap directly over the location where the two underground storage tanks were removed years prior. The site was prepared by abating asbestos and demolishing of the structure.
