Additional Property Attributes

Environmental assessment revealed possible contaminants in the soil and asbestos in the building structure. Dyersville Industries acquired the site, abated and demolished the building. The property was replatted and became part of the Twin Steeples Landing Plat. Site preparation for the area included bringing in 13,000 cu yards of fill to raise Twin Steeples Landing above flood level. Subject property was combined with ACRES #236651 and developed with cement public parking lot and greenspace. Former Use: The property was previously owned by Rodlen Properties and sold to Dyersville Industries in 2018 for future redevelopment. The property previously was primarily a vacant/commercial area and consisted of an approximate 4,388 square foot building situated on approximately 0.12 acres of land. Based on a location next to rail road tracks and adjacent property having an underground storage tank Dyersville Industries had an environmental assessment completed to determine if there were any potential contaminants associated with the parcel. The building structure was abated and demolished and the site was prepared for future reuse. No further clean up action is needed on the site at this time. Site was prepared for redevelopment, combined with parcel identified in ACRES as #236651 and now provides public parking (concrete) and green space for the newly platted Twin Steeples Landing area. The Twin Steeples Landing provides access via a walking path and kayak launch area to the North Fork Maquoketa River.
