Additional Property Attributes

The subject property, 116 E. Canda St., Ishpeming, Michigan, consists of one parcel with the tax ID number of 52-51-101-002-00. The site is developed with an approximately 2,000 square commercial building. Due to deferred maintenance and investment on the property the building has fallen into disrepair. The building is located in a target area that the DDA has identified as �blighted� and in need of renovation or demolition.The City of Ishpeming DDA took title to the property in November of 2014 via donation based upon the inability of the then property owner to fund necessary renovation or demolition of the building. The DDA desires to raze the structure to remove the blighted condition and create green space to support redevelopment activities taking place on adjacent properties.
