Additional Property Attributes

The site consists of 0.41 acres and is improved with the remains of two (2) commercial/industrial buildings. The site is currently unoccupied but was reportedly most recently occupied by Blade Tech Inc., a manufacturer of cigarette cutting machines. Two buildings previously existed at the Site but both buildings were in very poor condition. A fire occurred at the site in 2015/2016 and damaged the buildings, Transite siding was present along a portion of the building walls and is scattered among the loose debris present at the Site. Additional asbestos was detected during an asbestos survey completed in November 2018. The City of Indianapolis DMD anticipated acquiring the Site through tax delinquency purposes and then razing the existing structures. However, the current owner illegally razed the structures and stop demolition order was issued by the City of Indianapolis (building and debris was already gone but the concrete slabs were still in place). No additional work is planned and it is unknown if the property owner abated the asbestos prior to razing the structures.

Former Use: The site consists of 0.41 acres and is improved with the remains of two (2) commercial/industrial buildings. A former warehouse/manufacturing building containing approximately 1,400 square feet of floor space is located over the north portion of the site, and a former warehouse/manufacturing building containing approximately 2,000 square feet of floor space is located on the southwest portion of the site. Both buildings are in very poor condition. A fire occurred at the site in 2015/2016 and damaged the buildings, Transite siding is present along a portion of the building walls and is scattered among the loose debris present at the site. Site acquired in 2016 by Rutters, LLC and Brian Schutt was the previous owner of the Site.
