Additional Property Attributes

Property will become a bike trail that extends the existing Shoreland 400 Rail Trail. Once this section is complete, along with an additional N/S leg, a bike trail will run through the heart of the City of Sheboygan for approximately 3 miles. The current section is 1.67 miles. This section will coincide with the redevelopment of a former tannery. The former and current assessment grants have completed much work on the tannery property.

Former Use: Rail corridor that fed numerous industrial activities including, but not limited to, a tannery, a coal yard, a fuel storage facility, and furniture manufacturers. It also served as a passenger corridor until the late 1950's.
