Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: Building was a meat locker. After the owner passed away the building was vacant for several years. The city acquired the building in 2019 and demolished the building. Assessment indicated the building had asbestos in it. There were signs that possibly there was a fuel oil storage tank on site at one time. The city acquired the site, abated and demolished the building. An environmental consultant inspected the site and deemed it to be ready for reuse/redevelopment. The city developed the site for use as a community gathering space for community event use such as farmers market. The site includes new sidewalks, pavilion and a bus stop. Project completed summer 2020.
