Additional Property Attributes

The Old Jail property was built in approximately 1961 according to the BIA Great Plains Office and was used as a jail and law enforcement center until some time in the 1980s. The Rosebud Sioux Tribe acquired ownership of the Old Jail property through a trust agreement the the BIA in November 1986. The building has not been in use since approximately 1998.

Former Use: Property is owned by the Rosebud Sioux Tribe and was used as a law enforcement center. Prior owner was the Bureau of Indian Affairs.
