Additional Property Attributes

The two parcels at this site once held a gas station (1935, a dry-cleaner
(1954-60, auto repair service (1954) and various commercial enterprises the last of which was a
mattress sales company. The buildings on the site were demolished by CCLRC and the property
passed to the City of East Cleveland. This site was identified in the Brownfield
Inventory conducted earlier this year with funds provided by the US EPA Brownfields Grant; it
is particularly important because it borders the proposed Noble Rd. Cold Storage development
at 1705 Noble Rd. and could ultimately become part of that project.
Ph I Findings: Potential for 3 USTs; dry-cleaning solvents; metals & chemicals from photo developing operation. Potential incursions of petrochemicals from adjoining/nearby towmotor manufacturing, 2 gas filling stations/ auto repair.
Recommendations: Ground Penetrating Radar & electromagnetic survey; ltd Ph II sub-surface investigation
