The Kansas Department of Health and Environment received a Brownfields application from the City of Fort Scott for their property located at 415 Marble Rd. in Fort Scott, KS. They requested a Phase I BTA for 415 Marble Rd. BTA project. The application was approved on October 2, 2019

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) completed a Phase I Brownfields Targeted Assessment (BTA) at the above referenced property in Fort Scott, Kansas. Based on the Phase I report, no "Recognized Environmental Conditions" (RECs) were identified at the property. No further investigation is needed through the Brownfields Program and the property is cleared for redevelopment.

Business Environmental Risks (BERs) were not found during a NESHAP Limited Asbestos and Lead-Based Paint (LBP). Based on the information collected during the survey, neither asbestos containing materials (ACMs) nor LBP were identified.
