Additional Property Attributes

The Property consists of an approximately 0.16-acre commercial tax lot (01N13E03BD03700) in downtown The Dalles. The Property building was constructed in 1900. The Property is presently used as a restaurant on the ground floor with a vacant upstairs. Surrounding sites are commercial. The Property was first developed in 1900 as a hotel and saloon. The Property operated primarily as a hotel with a bar/restaurant from 1900 to 1926, until the first level of the hotel was primarily used as a bank. The bank area was replaced by another restaurant by 1942. The Property operated as an office for a taxi and rental car service in the early 1960s before becoming a restaurant with vacant upper floors from 1968 until the present. The assessment has revealed no evidence of RECs in connection with the Property.

A Regulated Building Materials survey was conducted to evaluate potential asbestos and lead paint in the property building. Asbestos was identified at greater than 1% in floor tile in the building. Lead in paint was detected at concentrations below the definition of lead-based paint.
