Additional Property Attributes

The subject property consisted of residences from at least 1924 until 1944, when a commercial structure, listed as Tennessee Sausage Co. was constructed on the eastern portion of the subject property. Based on a review of city directories, a potential gasoline filling station listed as William D. Koch (gas station) was located at a historical address of the subject property (293 Southfield Road) in 1930. By 1966, the residential structures on the subject property were demolished and additions were constructed onto the commercial structure that spanned nearly the entire subject property footprint by 1972. The City of Ecorse acquired the subject property in 2015 through tax reversion from the Wayne County Treasurer. The structure was demolished in April 2022 and the subject property currently consists of an undeveloped dirt lot.
