Additional Property Attributes

This property is 1.08 acres and is comprised of one parcel. There are multiple interconnected buildings which operated as foundry and brass works from the 1940's through the 1960's then used as storage warehouses through the 2000's. From 1951 through 1973 a buried oil tank was noted near the Northwestern corner of building 3 however no record of the UST was discovered. During a property inspection there was no visual evidence of current or former USTs. The area near the buried tank that was noted in Sanborn maps contained pooled rainwater and scrap tires but no evidence of a UST or release. There is no further documentation regarding the status of the UST. Two identified Areas, chemicals of concern were determined at the property and potential off property sources of contamination were identified. The first area was building 3 where foundry activities were limited to. Miscellaneous commercial and industrial occupants as well as a faction of the Sterling company related to sheet metal manufacturing remained in operation until the early 1990's. Also the potential orphan oil UST as described above. During the inspection there were no conditions at ajoining sites or the surrounding area that would be likely to adversely impact the property. The buildings are now vacant and in poor condition.
