Additional Property Attributes

This parcel was acquired by LRA for Operation Impact on June 28, 1988. It is zoned F - Neighorhood Commercial and is located in the 6th Ward. It is currently a community garden, called Fox Park Farm. Historical documents indicate the property was residential in the early 1900s, and served as a filling station from at least 1930 through 1965, with two underground storage tanks. There is no documentation that the tanks were ever removed. Local records indicate that the filling station building was demolished in 1998. The site is a former gas station with two gasoline tanks from at least 1930 through 1965. There are no records that the tanks have been removed. Commercial businesses have been located on the surrounding properties since 1930. The property to the north, at 2803 Russell, was once a gas station. It was granted "No Further Action" status by the Department's Tanks Section. Based on its regulatory status, it poses a historic REC. Lead in the surface soil exceeds the Department's default target levels, as well as the residential Risk-Based Target Levels. Additional investigation into the extent of the lead contamination is recommended.
