Additional Property Attributes

This property was a used car dealership which contained an office building, a repair garage, and underground storage tanks for fuel. It is currently owned by the Galilee Missionary Baptist Church, which is using it as a parking lot.

The church plans to demolish the buildings, remove the paving and reuse the property as a larger parking lot for the church. Recognized environmental conditions identified in the Phase I Environmental Site Assessment include the site's history as a gas station and auto repair shop, the likely presence of USTs, suspected PCB-containing ballasts, and suspect ACM and LBP.

The Phase II ESA confirmed the presence of aboveground and underground storage tanks, plus asbestos-containing materials (ACM) and lead-based paint (LBP). The tanks should be properly closed, and ACM and LBP should be properly removed before demolition and/or redevelopment of the on-site buildings.
