Additional Property Attributes

The Wagon Wheel Gap Fluospar (4UR) Mill was built in 1918 and was operated by mining companies until 1950. The mill building was left intact and purchased by the current 4UR resort owners in the 1980s with the intention of giving tours of the mill. Rehabilitation of the mill is planned to allow tours and interpretation of the history of fluorspar mining and milling. An asbestos survey of the building confirmed the presence of asbestos-containing materials. A Cleanup Plan and Cost Estimate was prepared in September 2024.
