Additional Property Attributes

The Subject Property consisted of residential development and grass-covered land from at least 1888 to 2012, when the structure was demolished. According to the Subject Property owner, clean fill was brought onto the Subject Property after the demolition of the residential structure. However, no analytical data was available for the fill. From 2012 to the time of the site reconnaissance, the Subject Property consisted of grass-covered land.
Surrounding areas consisted of residential development with a passenger train depot to the south from at least 1888 to 1950, when the area to the west consisted of grass-covered land and a bank was present to the south. The Subject Property was bordered by an alley to the north and in 1913, West Vine Street bordered the Subject Property to the south. Between the 1930s and 1960s, a gasoline filling station with three gasoline underground storage tanks (USTs) and a fueling station were located approximately 320 feet east-southeast of the Subject Property. Between the 1960s and 2020, the commercial development in the surrounding area consisted of a bank, a tobacco shop, municipal offices, a printing operation, and a medical office. At the time of the site reconnaissance, the surrounding area consisted of residential development to the north and east, a railroad, tobacco shop, paved parking lot, and municipal offices to the south, and a vacant restaurant to the west
This assessment has revealed the following recognized environmental conditions in connection with the Subject Property:
* The potential for the release of contaminants associated with the fill in the area of the former residential structure on the Subject Property.
* The potential for the migration of contaminants associated with the west-adjoining former printing operation
