Adoption of building codes that consider impacts from extreme weather events and natural disastersBuilding codes can encourage implementation of mitigation and adaptation techniques for extreme weather events and natural disasters. Codes may require that infrastructure be planned and built to avoid or minimize future damage or costly repairs from increased frequency and intensity of flooding, drought, wildfires, and other projected extreme weather/disaster events. Codes may also lead to energy savings for commercial and residential buildings by specifying minimum requirements for building components such as insulation, water use, heating and cooling systems, lighting, windows, and ventilation systems. Effective building code requirements may vary regionally due to differences in natural hazards.

Additional Property Attributes

The Subject Property is a 4.75-acre vacant former community hospital site. The Subject Property consists of a 4.75-acre vacant site located at 309 North 14th Street, Okemah, Oklahoma. The property is bounded by Boston Street to the north, North 14th Street to the east, West Atlanta Street to the south, and North 16th Street to the west. Land uses in the vicinity are commercial and residential.

This assessment revealed no RECs, HRECs, CRECs, VECs or significant data gaps in connection with the Subject Property or adjoining properties.

Potential ACM and LBP may be present at the Subject Property. Appropriate methods and actions pertaining to applicable regulations should be administered prior to any disturbance of these suspect materials which will require specialized surveys and possibly removal and disposal.

It is recommended that ACM and LBP inspections be conducted at the former ambulance dispatch building on the Subject Property to determine the presence, and volume of any potentially regulated materials.
