Additional Property Attributes

Property currently includes two office trailers, one storage trailer, and a parking area, all of which are used by J.R. Transportation Company for the storage, maintenance, and operation of a school bus transport company. According to the owner of J.R. Transportation, all bus repair and maintenance is performed off-site, and one of the office trailers is currently vacant. The site has historically been used for commercial uses, including a seed company in the early 20th Century as well as truck parking from the 1970s through the 1990s. Suggest Phase II because: an adjacent property located within 200 feet north of the site is listed as a Leaking Underground Storage Tank site that has impacted more than one media; the site's eastern boundary is the former Morris Canal, which was filled with non-indigenous soil in 1924; two sites were within 1,000 feet of the property were identified as containing Chromium Ore Production Residue; and an asphalt patch was found in the north central portion of the property, which may be indicative of a former underground storage tank excavation. Former Use: Property has historically been used for commercial purposes and is targeted for redevelopment as the proposed Berry Lane Park.
