Additional Property Attributes

The IL Environmental Protection Agency issued the final No Further Remediation letter on September 23, 2010. The financing for this 69 unit mixed income residential project could not be finalized until the letter was issued. A groundbreaking was held November 22, 2010 with completion expected the fall of 2011 on this 12 million. There will be 29 one-bedroom, 26 two-bedroom, and 14 three-bedroom apartments. There also will be 2,500 sf of ground floor retail. The building will provide a conference room, a multimedia theater, a business center, a cyber cafe, and a community room with an outdoor deck.

Former Use: Currently, the parcel is vacant with grass and trees. The parcel is located downtown adjacent to former industrial uses such as foundries, machine and tooling,and a welding company.
