Additional Property Attributes

The site is identified by the City of Boston as Parcel 0802181000. The site is a triangular shaped, vacant, undeveloped parcel consisting of 0.0827 acres of land. There are no permanent buildings or structures on the site. According to historical information, the site was formerly improved with a building of commercial use between 1887 and 1988. The City of Boston currently owns the parcel. The City of Boston foreclosed on the parcel on April 9, 1999. The general setting surrounding the property is residential and industrial. The Phase I ESA identified two RECs associated with the site. The two RECs listed included a prior release on the property and that the property may be located within an area of urban fill. Urban fill may contain a variety of contaminants which should be considered prior to future development. Based on reviewed information, no Institutional Controls are required at this time.

The site is listed as a confirmed disposal site (RTN 3-10355). On December 23, 1993 a release of 100 gallons of waste oil was reported. The release was addressed immediately and response actions were sufficient to achieve a level of no significant risk or ensure that all substantial hazards were eliminated. A Response Action Outcome Statement was submitted to DEP on July 11, 1994.
