Additional Property Attributes

The Granite City Parks and Recreation Distict is considering the purchase of this failing golf course, which has been on the market. This is the only golf course in Granite City, and the Park District hopes to maintain the property as a golf course.

Former Use: The subject site is the Legacy Golf Course and has been commercially developed by a golf course since about 1974. Prior to this development, the site was agriculturally developed or undeveloped from at least 1904 to 1968. Surrounding properties have included residences, Archer Daniels Midland Co., and Grigsby Junior High School.
