Additional Property Attributes

A Brownfield Investigation of soil and groundwater was performed at the site in the fall of 2010. Results indicated that soil samples collected from depths of approximately 7 feet or greated in select locations exhibited the highest levels of arsenic, lead and PAHs. Surface soil samples only contained minor concentrations of the contaminants. Arsenic and metals were detected above screening levels in groundwater. A risk assessment indicated that the use of the site for light industrial/commercial purposes is appropriate without remediation. The risk assessment failed for the residential child scenario.

Former Use: The potential for contamination form the use of historic fill is extremely high. In addition, the site is adjacent to another site that contained high levels of PCBs. The risk assessment conducted on contaminants identified at the site failed only for the child scenario. An environmental convenant restricting the site use was determined to be sufficiently protective.
