Additional Property Attributes

The VAP Phase I Property Assessment concluded it was possible the formerly industrial cooling water discharges may have adversely impacted the site. In addition, the site may have been utilized for filling or dumping. The Report concluded a Phase II Subsurface Investigation was warranted.

Former Use: The property was formerly utilized by a fertilizer manufacturing facility for cooling water discharges. In recent history, the property was a detention basin for the interstate and local roadways. The City is partnering with the Wildlife Habitat Council to create a nature preserve for migratory birds and greenspace at the property.
