Additional Property Attributes

Property is being redeveloped by the Progressive Church and is planned as a Family Life Center and elementary school. PPF attached to QR 6, 1/1/06-3/31/06 Groundbreaking for the new Family Life Center held on 3/26/11.

Former Use: Property generally extends from 4th Street to the north to the Westbank Expressway to the south, and from Cohen to the eaet to the rear of residential properties to the west. Properties on the corner of Cohen and 4th, and Cohen and the Westbank Expressway are not included on this site. Currently, the site is vacant and covered with sparse native vegetation. Two small structures related to a thrift store are on the northwest corener, and an automotive facility is located on the southwest corener. A junkyard formerly occupied the northern portion of the site. The site is also contaminated with asbestos from former dumping/filling activities. A postion of the site along the western edge of the property is a dedicated drainage servitude for Jefferson Parish.
