Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: Preliminary research indicates that the site once operated as a service station and that a UST, registered with ADEQ, was removed from the site in 1989. The site appears to have been largely unused since that time with the exception of intermittent vehicle and supply storage to support the neighboring car dealership. There is no indication that a release occurred when the UST was removed; however, the sampling done at that time would not meet current ADEQ protocol. In addition, the historic service station operations makes the site difficult to market for redevelopment. The purpose of securing Hazardous Substances funding is to address concerns about asbestos and lead-based paint in the site facilities as potential redevelopment would require some degree of renovation and/or demolition.
