Remedial actions removed asbestos-containing materials from the building and a 12-inch layer of lead-contaminated soil in building footprint. Lead contamination remains below the 12-inch layer and is subject to a ME DEP-approved cover system, which has been installed. A maintenance plan for the cover system, as well as an Environmental Media Management Plan were submitted through ME DEP VRAP and approved by ME DEP.
