Additional Property Attributes

The Confederated Salish & Kootenai Tribes (CSKT) tested the out-of-use former gas station structures for hazardous building materials. The buildings stand at the entrance to their tribal college. Building materials assessment did not identify any asbestos or lead-based paint. Demolition can proceed without hazardous materials concerns, other than proper disposal of light ballasts.

Former Use: The Older Building was built in the late 1960's or early 1970's, and was a fueling station until the early 1990's, when a replacement station was built immediately to the southwest on the site. Fuel tanks were removed in summer 2018, and no petroleum impacts were found. All of the site buildings are out-of-use, and are slated for demolition.
