Additional Property Attributes

The Former West Virginia Glass Specialty Company or Warehouse Marine Property was utilized as storage for finished glass products. After the WV Glass Specialty Company ceased operations, a boat repair and storage facility occupied the Subject Property. The Phase I ESA found petroleum containers and 55-gallon drums utilized for solid waste exposed to the weather and did not have secondar containment. This represented a material threat of a future release to the environment and a REC for the Subject Property. However, a Phase II ESA was not recommended due to the lack of evidence of a release. De minimis stains were observed on the subfloor of the maintenance shop, deteriorating 55-gallon drums in the warehouse structure, and building materials in the cellar structure. To assist with demolition the following surveys are planned: Asbestos Survey, Waste Stream Characterization Survey, and Mercury/PCBs & Other Hazardous Materials Survey.
