Six temporary monitoring wells were installed.Groundwater sampling collected were analyzed for VOC's. Results of the lab analyses indicated that all VOC concentrations were below MDEQ TRG's except for PCE which was detected in the groundwater samples from TW-4. It is recommended that shallow soil having a chemcial order be excavated and disposed of accordingly. It is also recommedned that field screening of soil samples with organic vapor meter be performed as an aid in determining the extent of excavation.

Former Use: The former Fallo cleaners is located on the north side of Government Street, approximately 150 feet of the intersection of Handy Avenue and Government Street in Ocean Springs (Jackson co). During the Phase I ESA the property was unsed. Strutures on the southern half of the property were an approximatee 60 foot by 85 building previosuly utilized as Fallo's Cleaners until 2006 and two small cinder block sheds behind the main building previously utilized to house boilers used by Fallos Cleaners. Based on past usage, a Phase II ESA was performed in 2006. The Phase II ESA revealed TCE was present in the soil. In 2009 a Supplementary assessment (Phase III ESA was performed under the TBA. That study aslo revealed the presence of TCE in the soil.The City of Ocean Springs proposes to purchase the property from Fallo Celaners owners and redevelop the property.
