Additional Property Attributes

The 0.40-acre site consists of an approximately 1100-square foot building which is vacant. The one-story structure consists of a garage and office constructed of concrete block on a slab foundation with a flat roof. The site was formerly used as a gasoline service station for approximately 60 years. Evidence that underground storage tanks USTs remain on the site was observed during the site visit. The site is bordered by South Broadway to the west, residential row homes to the north, Hedley Street to the east, and Chelton Avenue to the south. The surrounding area consists of a mix of residential, vacant, and commercial/industrial uses. EPA Brownfields Assessment funding was used to develop a Preliminary Assessment/Phase I report, a Site Investigation/Phase II Work Plan, a QAPP, and SAMP.

Former Use: The site was formerly a gas station that has been redeveloped into a rain garden park along a gateway corridor in the City of Camden.
