Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The general property vicinity was developed prior to the 1930's for agricultural purposes and in 1941 U.S. Navy constructed a military airfield on the property. At that time the airfield consisted of six hanger building, two barrack buildings, a boiler building and two circular landing strips. The original airfield property was sold to the City in the mid-1950s and has been operated as a municipal airfield since acquisition.
