Abandoned buildings and potential exposures to asbestos in residential neighborhood has been removed through brownfields cleanup completed 12/31/2010. The property is separately under an EPA RCRA Administrative Order for cleanup by the Chamberlain Corporation. City of Waterloo and the community are working toward a comprehensive redevelopment. Institutional controls and engineered controls narratives will reflect ongoing remedy progress. Some redevelopment may be possible while the RCRA remedy is ongoing provided that protective controls are in place.
