Additional Property Attributes

This property is adjacent to the Corporate 74 property ACRES #122024. Both properties were sold by Rutherford County to Facebook in November 2010 and will become the Rutherford Data Center -- a 450,000,000 investment with 42 permanent jobs and 300 construction jobs. The existing industrial building will be removed so that Facebook can construct its second on-site building probably early 2012. The first building is going up on the greenspace behind the building. This data is recorded under the ACRES 122024 account. I did record here in order to avoid double-counting the information. These assessments along with the State Voluntary Clean-up Program and tax credit were very important in attracting Facebook to this site. Thank you!

Former Use: Property was a textile operation owned and operated by Burlington Industries until 2002. An on-site wastewater treatment plant, sludge drying beds and 4 treatment lagoons are on the property. Most recent occupant of the property was Mako Marine, who made boats. Property features a 370,000 sq foot manufacturing building. Property has been owned by Rutherford County, who pruchased the property after Burlington Industries ceased operations and leased the property to Mako Marine.
